Division of Native American Affairs

The Division of Native American Affairs exists to serve as a liaison to federal, state, and local government units and private organizations on behalf of tribes consisting of Native American persons in this state.

Iowa Code 216A.162 Section 2: The purpose of the commission shall be to work in concert with Native American groups and Native Americans in this state to advance the interest of Native Americans in the areas of human rights, access to justice, economic equality, and the elimination of discrimination.
