Current and Upcoming Grant Information
CCJJP administers grant funding to support activities
to impact the child welfare/juvenile justice system. The federal
funding sources include Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws funds,
Juvenile Accountability Block Grant funds, and Juvenile Justice
and Delinquency Prevention Act Title II & V funding. The funding
is administered at the federal level by the Office of Juvenile Justice
and Delinquency Prevention. The funding is authorized through the
federal Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act. Iowa supports
individual programs at the state and local level with some of the
federal funding for efforts related to Mental Health, Disproportionate
Minority Contact, and Gender Specific Services for Girls. A majority
of Iowa's JJDP Act related funds are combined to create the Child
Welfare/Juvenile Justice Youth Development Program (CW/JJYD). The
CW/JJYD funding is allocated to local Decategorization planning
entities and supports programming and activities to meet local needs.
One of the above tabs provides information on the CW/JJYD program
- individual tabs are also included to provide brief overviews of
